to Children’s Rights

The Rivers of Revival community outreach provides multi-cultural, faith-based, non-profit programs located in the heart of Trenton, New Jersey. Our programs are hosted by Rivers of Revival Church

Our community outreach programs endeavor to inspire community transformation by empowering challenged families and at-risk students to discover their God given purpose and calling and to equip them with the tools they need to thrive. We desire to see the message of Jesus lived out in tangible ways.

Bright Approach Advancement Center

The goal of our after-school program is to ensure that the at-risk youth in our community are equipped with the necessary tools to succeed. We provide a balanced, intentional, and safe after-school program supplying academic enrichment – homework assistance, tutoring, and educational games – targeting teens and elementary students. We strive to provide a fun, exciting, and nurturing environment for students who need a centering force in their lives.

Our program’s purpose is to help establish a solid educational foundation for our youth to keep them focused on setting and pursuing strong life goals. Bright Approach provides tutoring in problem areas and keeps the youth engaged in profitable activities. Our focus is on sharpening reading, math, and computer skills so that all youth in the program are achieving academic success and performing at grade level and above. We provide nutritious snacks and also assist students with school supplies and book bags.

At Bright Approach Advancement Center, we are supporting the youth and families in our community. We are assisting the youth to build valuable academic and life skills. The youth in our program are moving from being at-risk into discovering the opportunities that exist for them and steps they can take for success in school and in their future. We make a point of offering engaging activities to keep students motivated and involved.

Studies show that communities offering after-school programs for young people experience a 70% drop in juvenile crime. The Fight Crime: Invest in Kids’ report determined that 2 to 6 p.m. is the peak time for juvenile crime on week days. This is when youth are out of schools, but many of their parents are still at work. At Bright Approach Advancement Center, we are keeping the youth safe and away from negative influences, giving their parents peace of mind.

Bright Approach Advancement Center is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit public charity.
